The Outlaw Chronicles 2045-3 Nebraska Factory

Nebraska Factory

With the Announcement that San Antonio SP Ricardo Rivera was the 2044 Steve Nebraska Award winner, it was opined by another BBA GM that the Outlaws had become a Nebraska factory for pitchers.

Over the last 20 seasons, The San Antonio Outlaws have had 7 Steve Nebraska winners making up a whopping 35% of the winners during that time period. GM Calvaruso was actually surprised to hear this when informed during a post Landis interview "Wow, I really had no idea that we had been that successful. We obviously go out of our way to find top notch talent, and with quality pitching such a priority in the ultra competitive BBA, we spend alot of time in our war room going over pitcher projections"

Here is the breakdown;
2025 - SP Nelson Ramirez
Ramirez was on a planet all by himself, this guy was an absolute beast. A 2 time 20 gam winner, and a career ERA of 3.40, Ramirez was the epitome of a Ace. His calling card was control with a career WHIP of 1.01. His number was retired in 2035 and he was elected to the HOF in 2037

2026 - SP Nelson Ramirez
I don't know how many back to back Nebraska winners there are in the BBA, but it can't be many. Back to back 20 Win seasons with sub 2.6 ERA's will make that happen.

2029 - SP Nelson Ramirez
Ramirez went on to have a few more good years on the mound, but 2029 was his last truly dominant season. 18 Wins and a ridiculous 2.21 ERA with 275 K's and a disgusting 20 Walks.

2031 - SP Juan Jose Ornelas
Ornelas would have won more, but he had the unfortunate history of being on the same team as Ramirez. This guy came in 2nd for the Nebraska in 2024, 2025, 2028 and 2029 before winning it in 2031. His number was retired by the Outlaws in 2035.

2038 - SP Yrrigs "The Mad" Carpenter
Injuries took their toll on this once promising star, but for one magical season he was the best. 18 Wins and a 2.7 ERA in 2038 helped him claim the title of best pitcher. Fun Fact, Carpenter was the Game 1 starter for Long Beach in the 2044 Landis Champion Series.

2042 - SP Ricardo Rivera
The second overall pick in the 2037 draft has been everything as advertised. He was promoted in 2039 and 2042 saw him blossom into the stud he is today. A 19-8 record and a 2.99 ERA won him the award.

2043 - SHOULD HAVE BEEN AKI KONDO
Who the hell doesn't vote for a 17 Win, 2.54 ERA pitcher for the Nebraska. Come on guys.

2044 - SP Ricardo Rivera
Only a 16 Win season but a excellent 2.73 ERA and a dominant postseason with 4 Wins in 5 starts and an 0.81 ERA. This guy is pretty good.

An impressive list no doubt, and from the looks of things, San Antonio has a potential future Nebraska winner in Ruben Vazquez. Whatever the talent scouts for The Outlaws are doing, lets hope they keep doing it.

Very impressive. Moreseo that there are so many different names on the list and not just one guy sweeping them all.
