21 Yr old SP, Reuben Vazquez, was named the Joe Gillstrom Newcomer of the Year for 2043.
Vazquez turned in a fantastic season for the playoff bound Outlaws, finishing with an 11-5 record with 211k's with only 41 BOB's. The monster year would have been covered more by the press had it not been for San Antonio battery mates Ricardo Rivera and Aki Kondo's exceptional years.
"I am excited to have won this award, but fell empty at how we exited the playoffs this year. You can bet I will work hard this offseason to get better and prepare to get this team back to Landis soon" Vazquez stated at the awards ceremony.
