The Outlaw Chronicles 2043-10 Outlaws Conquer Frontier

Outlaws Conquer Frontier

Step one of the San Antonio Outlaws grand plan for 2043 has been completed. San Antonio was able to hold off a hard charging Edmonton team to grab their first Division Title since the 2006 season. The Outlaws had to dig a little deep to pull off this accomplishment as The Jackrabbits pushed all the way to the end, and it took the Outlaws first 100 Win season in franchise history to do it.

Now comes the second stage of the San Antonio Tour de Force as they march into the Doubleday series and a meeting against the Rockville Pikemen. This one will have plenty of intrigue as both teams have long time GM's who have been through the wars. Both teams finished the season ranked in the top half of both the Hitting and Pitching categories. Both teams offer superstars throughout the lineups and some crafty veterans sprinkled in. on a Human Interest side note, Rockville GM, Aaron Weiner, was the original GM of the Birmingham Bandits, the predecessor to the Outlaws before their move to San Antonio and are actually good friends with GM Mike Calvaruso away from the game.

The Doubleday shapes up to be a heavy weight fight with power, speed and lights out pitching on both sides. GM Calvaruso was very complimentary at the press conference "I really like how we match up against each other. They are an excellent squad and will be a tough challenge. We are almost mirrors of each other offensively and defensively and should give an entertaining series that could easily go either way. I think what we need to do to win is stay the hell out of their pen because the Leach guy freaking beast".

This could prove to be the best series of the entire BBA playoffs and should have everyone in North America on their seats watching the games.

Yeah, congrats for sure, Mike. I remember looking at your roster before the season started and being blown away - your team is loaded! Good luck in the playoffs!
