San Antonio made a move to day to hopefully shore up what may be the only weak link in this 2043 team by acquiring RP Julio Velasco from Brooklyn.

The 35 yr old was in the middle of a resurgent year for the Robins and backdoor conversations between the GM's indicated that he was available. After some negotiations, Velasco was shipped to San Antonio for 3 prospects and a Rule 5 draft pick.

Heading to Brooklyn are AAA 3B Ron Paul, A SP Grux Parks, R 2B Roberto Garcia, and the deal was finalized with the return of Rule 5 draft pick from Brooklyn, RP Nobuhito Kawakami.

"We felt like we needed to get another solid, veteran arm in the pen to help solidify this team down the stretch. When talking with Brooklyn, at first Velasco was not really on the table, but some great conversations, and what i would say is a pretty fair trade, worked out for us. With the stretch run at full speed ahead, things should get pretty exciting for the Outlaws in the coming months.
