Finally!

It took 13 Months and 5 games, but SP Yrrigs Carpenter finally looked like his old self again. Sitting at an 0-1 record and an ERA over 7.00, "The Mad Carpenter" was patiently building his arm strength, working on his pitches and fine tuning his game after more than a year on the shelf. You could see the glimpses in every game he pitched, one inning where he was dominate and another where he looked very hittable and way out of sync.

The breakthrough came against the Boise Spuds on June 27th and did it ever look glorious. Carp spun 7 beautiful innings of 2 Hit ball with 7 K's and 1 BOB to put any fear of how he would respond after the year off to rest. Finally looking confident on the mound he consistently attacked hitters in and out of the zone and right when he had them guessing, he would put them away and have them shaking their heads on the way back to the dugout.

Mgr Parker beamed like a new father at the presser "That is why you remain patient with a talent like Yrrigs, he is smart and competitive and it is only a matter of time before he gets all the gears to work together. Looking very forward to watching this guy work the rest of the year".
