The Outlaw Chronicles 2042-9 Outlaws Set Roster
Outlaws Set Roster
After some fierce battles played out this spring, the San Antonio Outlaws made the necessary moves to set their 27 man roster heading into the 2042 season.
The following roster moves were processed in due order;
Placed RP Juan Sanchez on the 60 day; The FA acquisition never throws a regular season pitch for the Outlaws. Will be waived at the appropriate time.
SP Seitaro Yamamoto: Optioned to AAA. The great grandson of great Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto just needs more seasoning, but is probably first man up if the rotation needs a body.
RP Mario Contreras: Waived and designated for assignment. Control problems continued to plague Contreras this spring, and the 7.29 ERA didn't help.
1B Larry Stinson: Reassigned to AAA Austin. Gonna be a great one, but there is no rush to start his clock. Will possibly see action this year.
3B Alfredo Rosas: Reassigned to AAA Austin. See Stinson
OF Tony Vega: Reassigned to AAA Austin. Did enough to warrant a spot on the 27 man, but had an option left. Will more than likely see considerable time in San Antonio this year.
SS Miguel Padilla: Waived and designated for assignment. The acquisition of Puckett and Allen doomed him from the start. Did enough to warrant a backup role but the brass decided to move in another direction.
C Dan Calhoun: Traded. Calhoun had originally made the opening day roster, but has been included in a trade to Rockville for the rights to Juan Domingo. Domingo was a Rule 5 Draftee from Rockville and this allows the Outlaws to receive full right to Juan. Domingo will be sent to AAA Austin at first opportunity.
C Jesus Garcia: Promoted. The trade of Calhoun opened up a roster spot for Garcia to become the backup backstop. This was always the plan moving forward but the trade with Rockville accelerated the move.
Barring any further additions or subtractions, the 27 man is now set.

Sanchez is a drama queen. I put up with him as long as he got the job done, but should have let him go a year earlier. Literally got an email from the team thanking me for letting him walk. You are better off without him

I was very hesitant to sign him but I needed pen help. Guess it doesn't matter now.indiansfan wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 10:55 amSanchez is a drama queen. Playing with service time. Depending on how the season starts he may be up sooner than later. I am hoping it's later cause that would mean we are doing well.

Vega's decent-looking. If he were just a bit better in the field, he'd be way more than decent. Should give you some decent offense, though!
