Outlaws Sign Kamade

The San Antonio Outlaws took steps today to fill a hole in their lineup with the signing of CF Abdelwahab Kamade. Kamade will immediately slide into a starting role for the Outlaws helping fulfill a need for better defense and offense form the position.

Kamade, over his 10 year BBA career, has averaged a .296 BA with 188 Hits, 89 Runs and 62 RBI's. Kamade batted .262 with 87 Runs and 57 RBI's last year with Nashville tossing in 32 stolen bases. Kamade has he reputation of being somewhat fragile but only missed 6 days last season due to a thumb contusion.

GM Calvaruso was all smiles at the press's conference introducing Kamade " We went into the offseason knowing that we needed to make an upgrade at Center and focused our attention on Kamade and William Wood. After Wood decided to sign with Kamade's old club in Nashville, it wasn't long before a contract was agreed upon for Kamade to come to the Heart of Texas".

A 2 year, $10.5 m per year with a Team Option in year two convinced Kamade that San Antonio was the place for him. Juan Valverde returns to a bench role for the Outlaws but will have some competition in the spring as Rookie Mennac Shakes will be in town to get his first taste of the bigs.

His demands got low but Mike went big. I went up to around $8M or so for 3 years and thought that might have been plenty.

Kamade is a nice signing, and he should really help you in CF this year.
