Outlaws Invite Five

The San Antonio Outlaws sent five of their top minor leaguers invitations to 2041 Spring Training. Getting their first taste of big league camp will be 3B Alfredo Rosas, 1B Larry Stinson,2B Juan Feliciano, CF Mennac Shakes and RF Luis Valdes.

Stinson and Rosas represent the top two prospects in the Outlaws organization and bring some lofty credentials. Stinson split time between AA Beaumont and AAA Austin with the majority of his time coming in Austin. He finished up 2040 with a .282 BA, 31 HR's, 80 Runs and 83 RBI's plus a robust .362 OBP. Rosas spent all of 2040 in Austin and finished up with a .285 BA, 73 Runs, 19 HR's and 67 RBI's. Very few expect either of them to break camp with the big club but stranger things have happened.

One of the more intriguing players in camp will be Feliciano. Considered to be average defensively, he destroyed AAA pitching in 2040 finishing with a .343 BA and .382 OBP. There should be a spirited fight between Feliciano, Quint Coppard and Ernie Ramos to take over the open spot at 2B.
