The Outlaws Chronicles 2038-7 Outlaws Heading to Postseason

Post by bigmike13 » Tue May 21, 2019 8:45 pm

Outlaws In

The Outlaws may have come up short in their game against Wichita, dropping a 2-1 decision, but their was still celebration in the visitors dugout after the team had learned that they had punched their ticket for the postseason.

San Antonio returns to the playoffs after a five year absence thanks to a solid pitching staff led by 22 yr old Yrrigs Carpenter and 24 yr old Aki Konda and a surprisingly efficient bullpen led by CL Roberto Lizardo. On offense, Veterans Mark White and Chang-hyeok Chang have led the charge while surprising Rookie 1B Tony Hernandez has been pounding the ball.

This will be Mgr Eric Convington's first appearance in the playoffs and he could barely contain his excitement after the game. "Wow, this team has worked so hard this season and they have really come together for each other. Getting to the playoffs is just step one for this team and I feel we are really starting to play our best ball heading into the postseason".

Here are some of the other sound bites from the locker room;

RF Chang-hyeok Chang "It is nice to have reached the playoffs but we are not just satisfied with that, we are here to win it all"

RP Bailey Attoehow "Talk to me after we win the Landis"

P Roberto Cruz "This will be my third trip to the playoffs and I have no plans on leaving early"

3B Jesus Gonzales"I have not pulled my weight this year so now that we have made the postseason, I am looking forward to helping this team continue to win"

As the season enters it's final few games of the 2038 season, it sure feels nice to know that, at least for a little while longer, the Outlaws will be playing ball in October.

4 Sunbelt teams in the playoffs.

Know what's funny? I don't hear any blathering about how the Heartland is the best division in the BBA anymore. Weird, huh?
