San Antonio Outlaws SP, Aki Kondo, has been named the Top Johnson League Starter for the month of June. In his last outing, Kondo pitched 7 innings giving up 3 Hits and no earned runs while striking out 7 to dominate the Louisville Sluggers
Kondo started 5 games garnering a 4-0 record and throwing 33 Innings. In those 33 innings, Aki struck out 48 and walked only 7 for a 0.76 WHIP. The unquestioned Ace of the Outlaws staff has been brilliant since coming over in the trade with Montreal.
When learning of his newest hardware, Kondo said through his interpreter "I appreciate the recognition, but this is not a single player game and I must applaud my fellow teammates as well. Without them I would not have this opportunity. I love this organization and look forward to more success here".
