The Outlaw Chronicles 2038-2 April Showers?

Positive April

The San Antonio Outlaws finished the month of April on a high note, giving them a positive record of 15-12 heading into May. The past Outlaw teams have seemed to struggle out the gate and put themselves in hole that they could never climb out of, but this years team is playing good ball on all fronts and is focused on playing hard in every game.

The Great
20 Yr old Rookie 1B Tony Hernandez has become a force in the middle of the Outlaws lineup. He ends April with a sparkling .326 BA, 3 HR, 10 RBI's and a sweet .373 OBP. Maybe, just maybe, the Outlaws luck is starting to turn around.

The Good

RF Mark White may not be the flashiest of ball players, but he is making a case as being the MVP of the Outlaws already. A .337 BA and a whopping .515 Slugging is making things easier for the guys around him to get pitches they can hit.

The Bad
3B Jesus "Nitro" Gonzales is off to a cold, no lets say freezing start to the season. Batting just .196 in April and starting to be platooned with another Rookie sensation in Lucio Cueller. The Outlaws took a lot of heat for this free agent signing and it is starting to look like the naysayers were on point.

The Ugly

Wow, one of the more anticipated free agent signings was RP Jesus Casas. He was expected to come in and become a solid bullpen member and all he's done is throw gasoline on ever outing he's had and is sitting at a 7.26 ERA. This may be a short stint in an Outlaws uniform if things don't turn around soon.
