Outlaws Quick Out the Gate

San Antonio decided to say "F YOU" to the rest of the league, bolting out of the gate for a 4-1 start to the season. Of course, no one in their right mind thinks this is going to continue, but it's nice to send the home fans off with good feelings for a change. What makes this weekend even more of a surprise is that the Outlaws Pitching staff led the way instead of the hitters. While the starters did their job, the bullpen had it's share of hiccups. Lets hope they settle down moving forward.

Game of the Week

April 6th, Nashville @ San Antonio

San Antonio 6 - Nashville 0

What a start to the BBA career of SP Fernand Richard, all he does is take the mound and give the home team 7.2 innings of shutout baseball with 4 K's and only 1 BOB. Fernand worked the black of the plate effectively, never giving the Goats any solid hits and keeping them from getting anyone in scoring position until the 6th, who was immediately erased trying to make it to third.

The offensive leader of the game was Infielder Norm Smith, who took his first start of the season and made a little noise. Smith went 3-5 with 3 RBI's and 1 Run with 2 of the hits being Doubles. The one negative of the sim was Jesus Gonzales, who was supposed to be very good in the field, making his 3rd error in only 5 games.

SP Fernand Richard - Richard's debut will be one he remembers forever. 7.2 shutout innings, 4 k's, 1 BOB and only 6 soft hits allowed. The crafty lefty could be growing up before our eyes.

RF Mark White - Picking up where he left off in 2036, Mark White just continues to hit. White was off to a nice start going 8-18 with 2 RBI's and 1 Stolen Base. White should see better RBI opportunities as the rest of the hitters heat up and lineup adjustments occure.
