Buckland Lands on DL

Spring training isn't even half way over and the San Antonio Outlaws have already had a season altering injury. The teams got the news yesterday that SP Elliot Buckland, easily the most experienced Outlaw starter, who had exited his ST start with arm discomfort had in fact torn his Labrum and would miss the first 4 months of 2037 season. This is a huge blow to a team that had dove head long into this years free agent crop and bagged three of the top hitters available. After todays news, the positive vibes and good feelings floating around San Antonio have fallen back into anger, disappointment, and disbelief. Buckland had been expected to play a key role in the rotation this season and bring some veteran support to this young team.

Things at the Outlaws offices turned physical when Team Trainer Tom Moran made his finding known at a meeting with GM Mike Calvaruso. Word has it that Calvaruso literally climbed over his desk and began to strangle Moran violently, and at one point tried to stab Moran with his letter opener. Witnesses say it took 4 security guards and three members of the office staff to hold Calvaruso down while Moran scrambled out of his office. Calvaruso was heard screaming "I know where you live Mother F*&%$#@%".

This will be a bitter pill for GM Calvaruso to swallow after convincing team Owner Walter Sobchak to open his check book very wide this offseason.

We are told that Moran was allowed to take a vacation day to clear his head and begin his Self Defense classes at the local YMCA.

I sense more cathartic TNs coming from the San Antonio press.
