Outlaws Sign Gonzales
Apparently the San Antonio Outlaws were not quote finished with their Free Agent frenzy as the team announced the signing of veteran3B Jesus Gonzales to a 4 year deal. The 32 yr old Infielder is coming off of the best year of his career by giving the Seattle Storm a .315 BA with 39 HR's, 112 RBI's and 99 Runs scored. Gonzales also gives the Outlaws, what should be, superb defense at the hot corner.
"We had Dan Norman playing 3B for us last year, but it was in a platoon situation. He played well, and we still think very highly of Dan, but getting Gonzales was without question a substantial upgrade to the team. He is a highly intelligent player and will give us another great veteran presence in the clubhouse and in the dugout" GM Calvaruso stated at the announcement press conference.
The addition of Gonzales gives the Outlaws their third significant team upgrade for the 2037 season and an excellent chance of getting out of the JLA Sunbelt cellar.
