The Outlaw Chronicles 2037-6 More Help On The Way

Outlaws Sign Gonzales

Apparently the San Antonio Outlaws were not quote finished with their Free Agent frenzy as the team announced the signing of veteran3B Jesus Gonzales to a 4 year deal. The 32 yr old Infielder is coming off of the best year of his career by giving the Seattle Storm a .315 BA with 39 HR's, 112 RBI's and 99 Runs scored. Gonzales also gives the Outlaws, what should be, superb defense at the hot corner.

"We had Dan Norman playing 3B for us last year, but it was in a platoon situation. He played well, and we still think very highly of Dan, but getting Gonzales was without question a substantial upgrade to the team. He is a highly intelligent player and will give us another great veteran presence in the clubhouse and in the dugout" GM Calvaruso stated at the announcement press conference.

The addition of Gonzales gives the Outlaws their third significant team upgrade for the 2037 season and an excellent chance of getting out of the JLA Sunbelt cellar.

Gonzalez will be a good add, though admittedly he was awfully pricey.

I know, I went high on all my FA's but I am tired of being in the bottom of the league. I have been a penny pincher long enough.

my signings have given me an added benefit, my season ticket sales are projected to go up 77.9%, revenue per game is projected to go up 76.1%, fan interest is back to 94 with fan loyalty on Extreme. I have my ticket prices set at $18.50 so that is good.

Yep. If I get time I'm going to write a feature on season ticket revenue, and SA is a major mover there.

You've got some great prospects coming up that will be at league min over the next couple of years so you can afford a couple of high contract guys. Now if you can catch a break with your starting pitchers. Nice job this off season.
