Claussen Searching for Answers
It happens in baseball, it's a long season, players go into slumps, sometimes early and sometimes late, and a lot of times they come out of them and are able to salvage the season, and then again sometimes they don't.
You can put OF George Claussen in the don't category as he struggled through a truly horrific year buy most standards. in 2035, George hit .276 with 35 HR's, 91 RBI's, 88 Runs, and a 3.1 WAR. 2036 was slightly worse with Claussen hitting .195 with only 15 HR's, 49 RBI's and 43 Runs. The struggles forced Manager Edgar Morales to push Claussen to a backup role, which doesn't usually help a hitter fighting to find his stroke and dig himself out of the slump.
It could be explained away had #53 been on the DL a lot, but he only missed 5 days due to a Oblique Strain all year. Countless hours under the eye of Hitting Coach in the batting cage and hours of watching film to see if there was a change in his swing angles proved fruitless. For now, George Claussen will have to be satisfied that he has time to go home to his native Ireland and clear his head, drink some Guinness and prepare his mind and body for 2037.

Looks like we have a front runner for next years come back player award. Can't get any worse then he was this year.
