The Outlaw Chronicles 2036-13 Cantu Gone

Cantu Sent to Las Vegas

Ina matter of 24 hours, San Antonio and Las Vegas pulled off two separate trades that could be very helpful to each other.

After sending CF Miguel Gil to the Hustlers, GM Calvaruso and GM Rectenwald consecrated a deal sending LF Hector Cantu to Las Vegas. Cantu was in the middle of a resurgence with the Outlaws and had become their most consistent player during the time he was here. This will be the second time that Las Vegas has traded for Cantu, with the first time coming back in 2032 which ended badly for both sides as a broken ankle in July ruined what was a good looking start in the desert.

Cantu was a steadying force for the Outlaws and his .271 BA, 10 HR's and 47 RBI's in 5 months of work gave the Outlaws fans something to cheer for when they came to the park. With Cantu scheduled to leave after this year anyway, the Outlaws took on more of a lottery ticket in return as they selected 21 yr old 1B Cisco Ramirez. Ramirez looks to be pegged out on the production scale right now, but could get a bump or two before it's all over. His overall value looks to be organizational depth with an outside chance of seeing the show.
