The Outlaw Chronicles 2036-5 The Incredible Mr. Glass

WIck Gone Again

There are three certainties in life; death, taxes, and John Wick going on the DL. one you only see once, but the other two you see every damn year.

And 2036 is no exception as the once future Ace of the San Antonio pitching staff has hit the disabled list for 5th time in 5 years. Since the 2031 season, Wick has been on the DL for a total of 96 weeks. Wick has officially eclipsed the designation of "Fragile" and gone head first into "Paper Mache". Wick will be, henceforth, known as Mr. Glass, and he has probably sealed his fate in San Antonio.

Wick was asking for a 3yr, $8.5 million per year, extension and I believe it is safe to say that won't happen. "I just can't believe the horrible luck I have. I do everything I can to stay in shape during the offseason and this happens. I am at a complete loss for words". an inconsolable Wick muttered into the microphone in between sobs. "I don't know where I go from here".

GM Calvaruso was a mixture of sympathy and disgust "My heart bleeds for the kid, but It breaks for the fans of the Outlaws who will never get to see just how special John was before the injuries took over. John will no doubt try to push through his rehab but you have to wonder just how much his body can take. I mean the guy pulled a back muscle wiping his ass last month, so who the hell knows when or if he comes back". "My luck, I won't resign him for 2037 and he will go somewhere like Las Vegas and win 25 games and get the Nebraska Award".

The once sky high promise of a career has been cruelly snuffed out by the plague of the injury bug.

Man, the Outlaws have had the worst luck with pitching injuries. Sorry to see it.

"I don't know where I go from here"
I'm thinking either the broadcast booth or the fast food counter?
