Outlaws Decline Three
The 2035 season is officially over with the California Crusaders claiming the Landis Title. Now it's time for the league to prepare for next season and GM's will begin to shape their 2036 rosters.
The San Antonio Outlaws roster will look much younger next year as GM Calvaruso has already stated that a rebuild is in the works and youth will be on display throughout the roster. The Outlaws began their youth movement with three veterans having their Team Options declined. OF/DH Juan Fernandez, CL Dillon Youngand RF Domenic Wyatt all became pending Free Agents and should hit the open market with interest from other teams.
Fernandez was a solid hitter for the Outlaws in 2035, not a typical Dh since he has almost no power, Fernandez maintained a good BA and OBP and would be a nice back end bat for some team.
Young had a very good year for the Outlaws, finishing with 28 Saves and his best ERA since 2030. AT 34 he is probably starting to slide more into a setup role than 9th inning guy but he would be a exceptional late inning Pitcher for someone.
Wyatt came over in a deadline deal from Phoenix and was told from the beginning that he would be allowed to test free agency this offseason. An all or nothing type power hitter, he also has very good wheels, will have some value to a team if they can stomach is weak batting average.
In another move, veteran BBA RP Flint Colbert has decided to hang up his cleats. Word on the street is he has already been contacted by the New Orleans organization about taking a roving pitching instructor role in the minors but no word yet if that is a viable option for Colbert.
