BREEZY SIGHTING
The fans of the San Antonio Outlaws were in a tizzy this week as there were several reports that star Global Baseball Consortium All Star Blair Peyton was at the local airport and took a black limo to the TAP Room Stadium which is the Outlaws home stadium. The reports have not been confirmed as of press time but the rumors are swirling. Why was Breezy Peyton in San Antonio?
The Outlaws currently have a Hall of Fame centerfielder on the roster for next year, 36 year old Hector “Junior” Cano, Jr. but he is set to be in his final full secured year of an original 6 year deal that was extended out for an additional 3 years by the Des Moines Kernels before coming over to San Antonio. He also has a player option for the 2065 season so it is entirely possible that he will be with the team for another two seasons.
What makes the Breezy sightings not necessarily a mere coincidence is that there are other rumors that Junior is currently being shopped to several teams on the trade block. While there have been ongoing discussions surrounding the future Hall of Famer for several years it would almost be a requirement to move the veteran if another high priced free agent centerfielder was brought in.
The San Antonio front office had no comment on either the interest to bring Blair Peyton into San Antonio nor the pending trade of their current centerfielder Cano Jr. While it would seem like a long shot to bring the GBCer into San Antonio there have been several large moves similar to this in past years so it is not out of the realm. Stay tuned to see how this situation plays out.

Time for Junior to learn right field, just like several other prominent Juniors.

Was he walking with a limp? If not, it wasn't him.

Payton likely won't come cheap. Should be interesting to see where he lands and for how much.
