AAA DC Americans:

The AAA club isn't flush with prospects, and it's not likely to get deeper next season as most of the team's top prospects are at the AA level or below.

Notables:

Christian Hoey

Hoey is a hard-tossing lefthander who's got a ton of promise. The team was so enamored with Hoey's development that they jumped him from Rookie League Tuscaloosa all the way to AAA DC, and Hoey didn't disappoint, posting 49Ks in 43 innings and posting an outstanding 2.49 ERA with no single month over a 3.50 ERA. Hoey still needs to work on his command to make it to the bigs, and he doesn't have great movement, but his stuff is so good he might overcome all of that. He's only 21 years old and he's got tons of talent.

Luis Fermoso

Fermoso is NOT a powerhitter; his six homers in 500 at bats will hardly play at the next level. However, the righty first baseman does have solid hitting skills and did lead the Americans with a .303 batting average. As a first baseman, he'll have to work on his powerhitting to make it at the next level.

Eugene Henriksen

Henriksen is an average-looking outfielder who has a chance to make it if he works on his peripheral skills. He's improved quite a bit lately, but he's still weak defensively and needs to get better. He hit .286 this season.

Fermoso- ugh, there's a MILLION guys like that out there that could hit an empty .300 and can't play a single position other than first base.
