Robert Wilson breaks out at 29.(55.22)

Leonardo Ramos wasn’t the only “breakout” for Omaha in 2055.

Robert Wilson, who was acquired from Atlantic City just days after the 2055 season began, had what you could call a breakout. Prior to this season, Wilson had one season where he had been called upon to start. That was the 2054 campaign with Atlantic City. He had a tough time, pitching to a 6.06 ERA through 27 starts.

Fast-forward to 2055.

Robert Wilson started 23 games for Omaha, accumulating a 2.69 ERA as a starter over 144 innings pitched. In a complete reverse, He actually struggled more in the bullpen, with a 4.18 ERA in 23 innings (16 appearances).

Wilson attributes the success to pitching coach Stafford Carter, who has been with Omaha since the 2052 season.

“Stafford pointed out a few things with my delivery, and it’s amazing how a minor detail can make such a huge difference on the mound” said Wilson.

“We’re counting on Robert again this season as believe it or not he is a veteran on our pitching staff with just one guy older than him currently on our staff.” Said Omaha GM Justin Niles.
