Arturo Meza has quickly shot up the charts since being drafted in round 4 by the Omaha Cyclones in 2053, and less than two years later after being named the 44th overall prospect in the Brewster Baseball Association has been called up to the major league roster.

Meza is expected to begin in the rotation immediately, although it is unclear who Omaha is removing from the rotation. Meza is a right-handed pitcher with a great cut fastball and slider that occasionally mixes with a screwball. Last year in he pitched only 75 innings, and this year has thrown 16 in two starts with a 1.69 ERA in AA Sioux City. All indications for the 22-year-old is that this is a permanent call to the big leagues, although with Omaha’s front office shenanigans that Is far from certain.

It's likely that Mesa will make his debut on the road as it is unlikely he will pitch tonight, and with the Cyclones hitting the road over the next 7 days before returning for just a 2 game set against Twin Cities before finding the open road again for 5 more.
