Omaha owner passes away (2054.9)

The people of Omaha and the Omaha Cyclones are in grief today with the death of the team's owner Jesse Ayers, who died earlier in the week from illness. Ayers will be memorialized at his funeral tomorrow at a local church.

Speculation on the new owner centers on his oldest son. Reliable sources in the Omaha press are reporting that Carl Ayers has in the inside track on replacing his father in the club's organization. What type of owner will the junior Ayers be? His managerial style is said to be lenient. Monetarily, Ayers is reported to be charitable.

Omaha currently has the 6th highest budget in the league at $156,000,000, trailing Calgary, Nashville, Las Vegas, Mexico City, and the top budget in the league Sacramento coming in at a monster $172,000,000.
