Omaha to continue insane “family friendly” pricing throughout playoffs.(2053.8)

Post by niles08 » Thu Feb 02, 2023 10:24 am

In a bit of shocking news today, the Omaha front office announced that the teams “family friendly” pricing that debuted earlier this season, will be in place throughout the entire postseason. This plan has been in place since May when the team was the team was 31-18, and similar to today, was in first place in the Heartland.

Those “Family friendly” prices are a flat $15.00 and have clearly had a large impact. These prices were a 40% discount compared to the $37.50 ticket price that was in place at the beginning of the year.

In May, the team was at 49% capacity, with an estimated $710,781 coming in per game on average. That number has risen to 79.8% capacity, as Omaha has quickly sold out the majority of their games since the price was lowered. Average estimated revenue per game is also back up to $718,100, so the change has actually grown revenue due to the increased attendance.
“Again, we did this for the fans. We want you all to be able to enjoy the day at the ballpark as often as possible, whether it be as a family, guy’s night out, or just something to do. We are glad you’re here and are proud of the overwhelming support that you have shown our team. Don’t stop now, however, as our team needs you against Nashville. Come out and enjoy the post-season!” Said Omaha GM Justin Niles.
