Omaha has finished the past 2 seasons watching the post-season from their couch, but based on the club's moves this off-season, it appears that they aren’t content to “rebuild”, but rather “reload”. If there was any doubt before, after a document has apparently leaked from the desk of a member of the front office, it now appears where Omaha is hoping to get.

In the leaked letter, part of what is legible appears to be from Omaha GM Justin Niles, which states:

“We have 90 wins circled as our hopeful landing spot. Obviously, a lot can change in 162 games, especially when we're still months away from game 1. For now, though, we feel like we have a pretty good chance based on the projections from players below”.

The document goes on to detail each member of the club along with what appears to be their expected “WAR”. That list is leaked below along with what appears to be “starting gigs” for many players along with who is in the rotation and a somewhat surprising name penciled in to close out games.

It looks like the club is expecting a total of 25.7 WAR from its batters, and has 16.15 WAR for its pitchers. This would give the club a total WAR of 41.85. Based on a 0 WAR team winning 47 games, this would give the club an expected record of 89-73 for the 2052 season. Of course, these projections come from the front office with no known rhyme or reason, so take it with a grain of salt.
