Morales set to return for regular season series-finale.(44.37)

Emilio Morales seems to be progressing well back from his broken foot that was set to sideline him through the end of the regular season. Team reports show that Morales is now expected to return to the lineup for the final regular season series in Omaha against Nashville. There are even some that believe Omaha could return as soon as this weekend for the series against Yellow Springs.
Morales replacement while he was injured, Yasutoki Sato has performed as expected with a .253/.320/.432 triple slash on the season. In September however, since Morales went down, Sato has just a .239/.289/.423 triple slash line so he has struggled to take advantage of the additional playing time.
Regardless, the team should be happy for Morales to return for the potential pivotal series against Nashville. Both Nashville & Omaha currently hold wildcard spots, with Omaha up a full 3 games on the “first team out” Louisville Sluggers and Nashville holding just a 1 ½ game lead on Louisville.
With just 8 games left to play for Omaha, including a double header tonight against Madison, followed by a 3 game series in Yellow Springs, that series against Nashville likely will be one of the most important of the season if this team has any hope of playing in the post-season.
