Omaha released it’s season opening ticket prices today and fans who were excited about the Aki Kondo deal maybe feel a bit less excited today after realizing that the opening day tickets to see the Cyclones are going to be the most expensive in the BBA.
“One dollar for each million they paid Kondo” said on fan, pointing out that the $30 ticket was similar to the $30 million dollars that the team will pay Aki Kondo this year.
“If you figure the increase is $15.00 higher than tickets last season, and you can fit 50,000 fans in the Omaha home ballpark, each game the team will make an additional $750,000. Multiple that by the 81 home games and the team is going to rake in over $60 million dollars! This is ridiculous.” Another fan was heard saying as he pointed to his large whiteboard he brought with him to the ticket box office.
Well, for those unaware, this is something Omaha typically has done and is something most other team do. That being raise their tickets to begin the season. Of course those ticket prices typically come back down, and you should expect the same in Omaha, especially if the team is only drawing a handful of people to each game.
Omaha front office thanks fans by gouging them on opening day.(44.09)

I consider it reducing prices for season ticket holders.
