Fallout in Omaha as players speak on Richardson firing.(43.32)

While many were surprised to see Quentin Richardson fired yesterday, few players in the Omaha Cyclones organization seemed upset to learn about his dismissal. While some players refused to speak on the record, there we’re a few surprising names who were candid regarding their relationship with Richardson.

“He’s the kind of guy who thinks that the best leader is the guy who yells the most” said longtime Omaha 3rd baseman Emilio Morales.

“Quentin wanted to win, but he didn’t have the respect of many of us in the clubhouse.” Said team captain and longtime team veteran James Monger.

“I was excited to be dealt to Omaha last season until I remembered who was in charge of the day to day operations” said [urlhttps://statspl.us/brewster/reports/news/html/players/player_31091.html]Jaime Geerdinkck[/url] who was acquired last season from Charlotte.

Richardson’s replacement was announced as 41 year old William Cole, who has zero experience managing or coaching at any level in the professionals. There still isn’t much information out there about Cole, but he is expected to take over immediately as he was seen boarding a plane at Epply Airport en route to Louisville, Kentucky where the club is currently playing.
