Hawk Nation prepares for Louisville by not caring that it’s Louisville.(42.28)

While Omaha fans celebrated their extra-innings victory over Twin Cities, that celebration quickly faded as the club also watches Yellow Springs win it in extras against Chicago, meaning Omaha would now head to Louisville to determine the fate of their postseason.

Yes, that Louisville. The one who won 111 games this season. The one with a +332 run differential on the year. The team which ranks not only first in runs scored, but also 1st in starters ERA which has a rotation featuring 2 players with 17 and 20 wins respectably. Their third-highest win total in the rotation is 13, however, that guy has an ERA of 3.05.
Scared yet?

Well neither are we.

You see, none of that matters. You don’t often hear teams talk about this stuff if they don’t finish the job. Louisville can claim all those things above, however, Omaha is just 1 of 4 teams Louisville faced this season who they have a winning percentage of 500 or less against.

Louisville would have probably seen Chicago, who they beat 11 times in 14 tries this season than Omaha who sits dead even at 7-7 on the year. Let’s not forget as well that Omaha finished their season 36-20 compared to Louisville at 34-21…

Be afraid redbirds.

Hawk Nation is about to shock the world….Again.
