Coaching Carousel in Omaha organization.(42.02)

Post by niles08 » Mon Mar 09, 2020 2:59 pm

The Omaha Hawks just released a memo regarding personnel changes and were not sure where to even begin. All in total, there are 9 personnel changes taking place immediately within the organization, 10 if you include the retirement of the team trainer.

Let’s just start from the top.

Stan Gray, who was the clubs hitting coach last season has been notified he will be in charge of hitting for the AAA Lincoln Loggers this upcoming season. Gray was only the hitting coach in Omaha for the 2041 season. Gray didn’t appear to do too bad, considering the club scored more than 800 runs for the fourth straight season and felt little drop off compared to the 2040 season.

Sebastiano Banatoni, who was also just in Omaha for the 2041 season has been relieved of his duties as the pitching coach and will no longer be with the organization in any effect. Looking at 2040 to 2041’s numbers and there is no question why Banatoni was given the boot. In 2041, the club allowed 252 more runs than in 2041 and the most in over 15 years, becoming one of the few clubs in BBA history to give up over 1,000 runs in a season.

John Anderson, who was the manager for AAA Lincoln has been reassigned to the be Manager for the rookie league Denison Monarchs.

Burt Warren, who was the manager of the year for the rookie league Denison Monarchs has been reassigned and taken over at AA for the Sioux City Explorers. With this move, the AA Manager Omar Aparicio has been released from the organization.

Sergio Lopez who was the pitching coach in AAA Lincoln has also been fired, as has Short-A Hastings Manager Francisco Mansort and Short-A Hastings Pitching Coach Jesus Macius.

Former Indy player Lambert Snabel appears to be on the fast track in his coaching career as he will shift in his 5th year coaching from Single-A Mankato up to AAA Lincoln.

Lots of movement with the club, and rumored to be potentially more as some are questioning Omaha Manager Quentin Richardson’s standing with the club at this point. Richardson has been with the organization his entire career and was promoted from hitting coach to manager in 2034. Since then, he has compiled a 665-632 record, making the playoffs 4 times. Richardson is entering the final year of his contract, so it appears to be a prove season unless of course he isn't given the chance.

There is no word on replacements for the open positions in the Omaha organization which currently are the following:

Pitching Coach
Hitting Coach
Team Trainer
AAA Manager
A Pitching Coach
Short-A Manager
Short-A Pitching Coach
Rookie League Pitching Coach

I’ve got some staff I really could do with being shot off, but most are locked up for three to five years at some big money that there’s no way I can eat. So I’ll just have to ride it out. Good luck though with the changes
