Manuel Orozco, who has pitched in only 7 games since the start of the 2037 season is set to make his season debut for the Hawks in the upcoming days. Orozco, who has been the victim of consecutive rotator cuff tears returns after sitting on the sidelines for the past 15+ months. The former #1 pick from the Las Vegas organization has the skills to succeed but has clearly had some bad luck on the injury front.
The lack of action didn’t discourage Omaha from buying our Orozco’s arbitration seasons however as the club announced just last week that they had signed Orozco to a 2 year contract worth $7,500,000 with added incentives that could push it toward the $10,000,000 mark if he is able to stay healthy.
With the activation, Emilio Parades will shift again to the minor leagues, while Adam Barnard will shift to the bullpen where he will look to regain the form he had early on in his career. Barnard was actually placed on waivers a few weeks ago, but with no takers, the club elected to continue to send him out there and attempt to figure out what is wrong with him.
