According to buzz around the great state of Nebraska, the Omaha front office not only has denied that the recent transactions have been a result of the Yellow Springs Nine hot start, but they have flat out said that Yellow Springs is not a concern to them at this point.Editors Note: Obviously this all fun and nonsense...I am scared shitless of Ron.
“Yea, we know the standings, they are a 7 games ahead of us in the Heartland, but let me ask you, have they had the hardest schedule to begin the season?” Said GM Justin Niles.
Looking at YS9’s schedule so far, they have faced several “basement” teams, including 6 against Boise(17-25), and 7 against Vancouver(13-32). In which the team went 9-4. Omaha had 3 against Vancouver, in which they swept the club. Omaha begins a 3 game series against Boise this weekend before traveling to Edmonton and then followed by 4 at Vancouver next weekend so Omaha has a chance to make a splash with wins in Boise & Vancouver.
“I give Ron credit for pumping his team up, but I don’t think they are as good as they think they are. If they don’t figure it out before hand, they surely will know it when they are watching the playoffs from home again cheering on other Heartland teams in the playoffs.” Said Niles.
