The Omaha Hawks moved on from several veteran pieces of their team this past off-season including Patrick Lue and Buck Munoz. The reunion with Munoz was not far off however as the 1st baseman has already agreed to terms to come back to the club on a 1 year deal.
The Hawks signed Munoz to a 1 year deal that will pay him $1,400,000. Munoz had been with the club since they were stationed in Indianapolis and was acquired from Las Vegas as a “freebee” throw in in return for the Hawks acquiring Mike Bailey’s bloated contract at the time.
Munoz managed to hit 134 home runs in 696 games for the club along with putting together a fairly respectable .249 career batting average along with winning a Diamond Glove in 2034.
Munoz isn’t expected to see regular at bats, but should come off the bench and fill in at first base when Maldonado needs a rest.

Tried getting him on a MiLC. Solid deal for you. Not a bad price for not a bad player.
