Omaha acquires a 1B (36.13)

Omaha seems to be the squad making the most moves as of late, and some are questioning whether or not Omaha is stretching its farm system to thing in the process.

In the latest move, Omaha acquired first baseman Sergio Maldonado (8/8/3/3/10 Ratings, .309/.338/.427, 6 HR, 35 RBI) from Charm City.

The 22 year old Maldonado is a light hitter, with very little power but he does display a great tendancy to get on base, as displayed by his .299 career batting average and .337 on base percentage.

Maldonado is in his 2nd full year in the big leagues and will be under team control for 3 more years following this year.

Heading to Charm City in return is Omaha’s 2036 supplemental round 1 pick (37th overall) first baseman Jose Toledo (4/5/3/4/4 Ratings). Toledo figures to be an everyday player in the future and should play a good first base glove.

Also heading to Charm City is outfielder Pierre Lamaire. Lemaire is currently in the international complex for the club after signing a contract with Omaha in 2035. Lemaire figures to be a role player when all is said and done and should be able to play all 3 outfield positions.
