Stephen Clulow made 4 starts this season before succumbing to injury with a partially torn UCL in his pitching elbow. Something was noticeably wrong this year as the 24 year old had an ERA nearly twice as high as his career average and was having issues spotting his pitches, walking nearly 1 per inning.
Now, news comes that Clulow is already beginning a throwing program and is hoping to return in time to participate in October baseball with the Hawks, who are currently in 1st place.
Any involvement for the Hawks should be welcomed as they have had a few leaky spots in their bullpen this season, and all indications show that Clulow would return only to the bullpen if returning at all and would not retake his spot in the pitching rotation until next season.
Certainly a story to watch as October comes closer and his progress is tracked, but a return certainly seems possible for the hard throwing right hander.
Could Clulow return to pitch in post-season bullpen?(36.6)

Interesting storyline, for sure if you're a Hawks fan.
