Omaha calls up 2038 draftee!(38.53)

Well, the sky seems to be falling in Omaha and to escalate the sky falling, Omaha has announced they have called up somebody that was drafted and signed with the club less than 2 weeks ago!

Yes, you read that right.

20 year old Tim Saslove was notified by the front office today that he is expected to be in Omaha and will pitch in the upcoming series against Atlantic City. Saslove was selected in the 9th round of the 2038 player draft with the 292nd overall pick.

Complicating matters more, Saslove is just recovering from a strained shoulder that had left him on the shelf for 5 weeks in May.

He doesn’t much past statistics to report on, but he was an all-star in 2037 and had a career 3.25 ERA over 110 innings pitched during his college years and in single A where he just reported.

He had 2 starts in single A, where he has a 1.23 ERA over 14 innings and has struck out 11.

Saslove isn’t expected to be an ace in his major league career, and some didn’t even expect him to be a player of the BBA caliber, but it appears Omaha is thing enough that they are going to give it a shot.
