63.44 Terovolas Crowned Johnson League Batting Champ

Montreal third baseman Denes 'Shadow' Terovolas was announced as the batting champion of the Johnson League today. On the season, he hit .329 with 42 doubles, 26 home runs and accrued over six WAR.

This was his third season with the Blazers since they selected him out of college in the first round of the 2061 amateur draft (18th overall). He raced through AA and AAA after being drafted and joined the team in mid-season, hitting .301 in 49 starts as a rookie. Last season, he hit .282 over 150 games. This season, despite missing a month with a strained posterior cruciate ligament, he led the league in batting average, slugging percentage (.577), OPS (.966), OPS+ (171), and wOBA (.401), starting 123 games.
