He raced through AA and AAA after being drafted and joined the team in mid-season, hitting .301 in 49 starts as a rookie. Last season, he hit .282 over 150 games. This season, despite missing a month with a strained posterior cruciate ligament, he led the league in batting average, slugging percentage (.577), OPS (.966), OPS+ (171), and wOBA (.401), starting 123 games.
