Montreal traded for Adam Bristcoe in early June of 2058 in a deal with Las Vegas. They immediately installed him as their stopper. Since then, he has thrown over 362 innings for the Blazers, appearing in 218 games over roughly 2⅔ seasons, and allowed only 23 home runs. The last two years he has led the league in appearances while pitching to a 3.33/3.44 ERA (132/122 ERA+). He has been worth 6.4 rWAR to the Blazers so far.

At 29, Montreal hopes that he has a lot more mileage in the tank. Currently making $4,118,400 as a result of arbitration, the Blazers have inked him to a three-year extension at $6,500,000 per season, making him their highest paid player. In addition, Montreal holds two team options at $8,000,000 each.

The right-hander throws a cut fastball that sits at 98-100 mph, an elite slider, and a plus-plus changeup. He is slightly better against right-handed hitters but is still very effective against lefties. Batters rarely succeed in hitting the ball out of the park.
