You're right, I legit really did forget about de Jonge for a while. Either way, it's super hard to make it to the Liberty!

This is so, so great. It would be interesting to see a table with players over the years.

I think more highly of Zero Athanasiadis than you do. Those offensive tools paired with his defensive acumen would rank above the big power, poor AVK guys for me.

Re: Montreal Blazers Prospect Handbooks
He's certainly among our few untouchable prospects. He doesn't rank higher because of the extreme risk associated with a teenager in rookie ball. I have high hopes for him and hope to see him climb the rankings over the next couple of seasons.BaseClogger wrote: ↑Mon May 19, 2025 11:23 amI think more highly of Zero Athanasiadis than you do. Re: Montreal Blazers Prospect Handbooks
Looking over the latest edition of the Prospect Handbook, I totaled the players at each position.
We've got six catchers, of whom four are left-handed. One of them will be our BBA starting C, so I suppose we really have five, with three left-handed.
We've got five first basemen. One of them will be our BBA DH, so that leaves four.
We've got two second basemen, but I'm not sure either of these guys will ever man the keystone for us. One is a LF and the other is a 1B.
There is not a single third baseman in our system that is promising enough to make the Handbook.
We have one shortstop, but he's been getting worse by the year and barely made the cut this year. His descent makes me very sad.
There are five corner outfielders, two of whom can play right field and three who cannot.
We have four centerfielders.
One DH.
Three right-handed starting pitchers.
And three right-handed relief pitchers.
In summary, we have a wealth of options up the middle at C and CF, but basically zero in the infield outside of first base. If we drafted for need, we'd start there (and at pitcher).
