Blazers Win at Charm City, 7-1
Montreal and Charm City got after it at OLD BAY Park at Camden Yards. Montreal Blazers pitcher Esteban Cruz was in fine form, leading his team past the Charm City Jimmies, 7-1. Earning his 1st save for Montreal was Bill O'Connor.

Montreal used a well-timed hit by Pedro Rosales to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Blazers ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important. "I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Rosales.

With the loss, Charm City falls to 3-10 and Montreal moves to 6-7.

Crawdads Win at Montreal, 4-1
Zak Johnson never let Montreal get something going. The New Orleans right-hander commanded his circle change in pitching the Crawdads to a 4-1 win. Renato Lacerda earned the save, his 2nd. The win gives New Orleans a record of 9-5.

New Orleans relied on the hitting of Sebastian Fradesso to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Crawdads on top, 3-0. For the game, Fradesso had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats. "At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said New Orleans skipper Frank Thomas III.

The Blazers lone run would come in the bottom of the 7th inning when José Méndez hit a RBI single to score Eik Wignes. It'd be the lone hit of the game for Méndez. Boris Milatovic was on the mound for Montreal and lasted 5.2 innings, while giving up 3 runs on 6 hits with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. He'd move to 1-2 on the season.

Crawdads Top Blazers, 6-2, Behind Kelly
New Orleans Crawdads starter Billy Kelly was in fine form against the Montreal Blazers at Ubisoft Field, leading his team to a win, 6-2. For the Blazers, the loss makes them 6-9.

Kelly, now 1-1, scattered 1 hit over 7.1 innings for the Crawdads. "If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Kelly.

It'd take until the bottom of the 8th inning for the Blazers to get on the scoreboard. As Fuad Demirel would hit a 2 run shot. That would be one of only 2 hits the Blazers were able to muster all night.

Blazers Earn 6-5 Win Versus Hurricanes
The Montreal Blazers topped the Jacksonville Hurricanes, 6-5, with left fielder Ulvi Basgil playing a big role. Basgil went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Blazers in the win. Jacksonville falls to 11-5.

Montreal used the timely hitting of Raúl Ávila to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blazers ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one. "Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Basgil told the Montreal Gazette.

24 year old Cheslav Evgrafov was on the mound and would pick up a no decision. The bright side is, it's his 1st time in 3 starts that he lasted longer than 4 innings as he'd 6.1 innings while allowing 5 runs on 7 hits with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts. Max Birstall would come in for relief and 2.2 innings of 1 hit ball to pick up the win.

Blazers Stumble, Lose to Hurricanes
The Jacksonville Hurricanes stopped the Montreal Blazers, 11-4, at The Station @ CSX Field. The Hurricanes got a big game from Alejandro Limia, who was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The winning pitcher was Hayden Bennion. He's now 1-1. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits for the Hurricanes. The win gives Jacksonville a record of 12-5.

In the bottom of the second, Jacksonville designated hitter Liam Nilsson had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and two out, Nilsson stroked a 3-run home run to right. It made the score 4-0, Jacksonville. For the game, he went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. "I like our moxie," said Hurricanes manager Khayyat bin Luqman.

The game did not start well for the Blazers as the starter Don Jaramillo would leave the game after throwing just 7 pitches. He was diagnosed with hand soreness and isn't expected to miss his next start. Luis González was called in for relief and lasted just 1 inning, while allowing 4 runs on 3 hits, with 2 of those 3 hits being home runs.

Pedro 'Dragon' Rosales would be the lone Blazer to get more than 1 hit. He'd finish the game 2 for 4 with a run.

Hurricanes Win, Costa goes 3-for-4
For the 2nd straight game, the Montreal Blazers would give up double-digit runs, this time it was 14. Pancho Costa made an impact. Costa, who finished 3rd in the JL in hits with 212 last year, was 3-4 with a triple, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Takehide Gertrudes, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-0. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 9 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Mu'tazz bin Akram earned the save for Jacksonville, his 1st of the year.

Costa contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for Jacksonville in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Costa took a fastball from Esteban Cruz and stroked the triple to right-center. His 1st triple of the season allowed the Hurricanes to leap in front, 5-4. "I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Costa. The win gives Jacksonville a record of 13-5 and moves Montreal to 7-11.

Cruz would pitch 5.0 innings for Montreal, allowing 6 runs on 8 hits with 3 strikeouts. The bullpen wouldn't be much better as José Duarte would last just 1.0 inning while allowing 3 runs on 3 hits, while Bill O'Connor would last just 2/3rds of a inning while allowing 5 runs on 5 hits.

Third baseman Eduardo González would lead the bats of the Blazers, going 1 for 3 with the lone hit being a double.
