Things were looking up as the Blazers entered May with a 16-10 record. Things are not so good entering June after a 10-17 May. In all the Blazers finished the second month of the 2048 season with a 26-27 record and trending in the wrong direction. The bullpen has held up sitting in the top five of the Johnson League for most of the season led by four time All-Star closer Carlton Casson(0-1-4 saves, 1-04 ERA in May) and Rule V pick up Anthony Annear(1-0-2 saves, 1.35 ERA in May). Annear has been especially impressive having not given up a run until his 12th big league appearance. He's given up just on earned run in 21 appearances stretched across 14 innings through May. During that time he has registered the first win, hold, and save of his young career.

Veteran catcher Joe Bradshaw(.309/.372/.647, 13 EBH, 18 RBI) has hit well of late leading Montreal in RBI for the month while rookie OF Juan Rodriguez(.286/.333/.554, 4 HR, 10 RS, 11 RBI) made his debut and an instant impact on the Montreal offense.
