"Here we go again!" was the word around Montreal as the Blazers started the 2048 season with a 6-6 record. The team would get it together and finish April winning 10 of their final 15 games and tied for the division lead with a red hot Atlantic City team. The top two in the rotation and the bullpen can take much of the credit for the April start with Don Jaramillo(4-0, 2.45 ERA, 6 GS) and Arsenio Lambrinos(2-2, 2.95 ERA, 6 GS). The bullpen was even more impressive as most finished the month with a sub two ERA. Closer Carlton Casson converted nine of his 10 save opportunities and last season's first round pick, Max Birstall, stranded all eight of his inherited runners while recording a JL best eight holds.
At the plate the team struggled with the exception of the regular contributors.
Lineu Aldo, Hector Cruz, and Eduardo Gonzalez each managed to knock in and score runs in double digit for the month. Also led the team with 19 RBI while Cruz finished with 23 runs scored.
