Blazers to Lean on Big Three Again!
.....
.....
Don Jaramillo(15-10, 3.46 ERA, 4.8 WAR)
Juan Ruiz(18-10, 3.77 ERA, 2.5 WAR)
Arsenio Lambrinos(Injured List All 2046)
Dani Garcia(17-5, 3.06 ERA, 3.7 WAR)
Jason Hurt(0-2, 6.62 ERA, 0.6 WAR)
The big three of Jaramillo, Ruiz, and Garcia carried the Blazers in 2046 combining for 50 of the team's 98 wins against just 25 losses. Maybe more importantly all three avoided injury and they combined for 100 starts. In today's Brewster Baseball World they are not expected to repeat that kind of success on the field or with injuries but if Montreal is to repeat as Atlantic Division champions they will have to come close. Despite being just 20 years old the fourth member of the rotation, Lamrinos, is almost as popular as anyone else on the opening day roster. His BBA debut has been pushed back the last two seasons due to back to back flexor tendon tears so his throwing the past two seasons has been minimal. He threw just 122 spring pitches after being cleared by doctors. I can't remember a more anticipated debut in Montreal in many years. The big surprise of the bunch may be last seasons number one pick, Hurt, beating out 2045 number one pick Davey Penn for the final spot in the rotation. Quite simply, Hurt outperformed Penn in the spring with an ERA of 3.15 that was exactly half of Penns. Hurt being a lefty, the only lefty in the rotation, is just a nice bonus for the team. It is a certainty that we will see Penn in the big leagues again at some point this season.

Top to bottom, that's got to be one of the better rotations in the league.
