The Montreal Minute(46:2) Roster Construction(Bullpen)

"We are gonna try to strike everyone out," said Blazer's GM Herb DeSpain when asked about the makeup of his opening day bullpen. "It's that simple!" The bullpen was a weak spot in a 2045 season that ended in a playoff appearance but DeSpain felt the Blazers could address the situation from within. "We have more balance this season starting the season with three lefties in the pen." Carlton Casson is coming off of his second all star season in two years that including a Johnson best 34 saves in 2045. He'll have a better supporting cast with former starter In-sung Yi and his 2.7 WAR moving from the Montreal rotation into the bullpen to help eat some relief innings and be the stopper when Casson needs a rest. 21 year old rookie Flynn Lewis makes the team as a reliever after impressing the front office with his play in double and triple A after being drafted in the first round of the 2045 draft.

Returning are second year righty Bill O'Connor and one of last season's Rule V draftees Michael Long. The team needs each of them to make noticeable improvements over their rookie seasons in order to remain in playoff contention. Another rookie, lefty Vaughn Mullally hopes to carry his minor league success to the BBA.

Rounding out the big league bullpen is the mysterious Agniruha Gaekwad who has been given every opportunity to contribute to the team over the past two seasons but has failed to take advantage of those opportunities. He's mysterious because he dominates in the minors but cannot seem to put it together in the majors. "Right now I'd classify him as a classic 4A player!" DeSpain said, a perplexed look covering his face when Gaekwad's name is mentioned. "I don't know what else we can do to get him where we need him but his opportunities are soon to run out in Montreal."
