Blazers' GM Herb DeSpain feels lost. After a very busy offseason that saw him deal away 3/5 of last season's starting rotation to form a more balanced ballclub Montreal finds themselves with an unimpressive 11-19 record and a 7.5 game deficit in the standings. "We gave up pitching to get hitting but that hitting is just not hitting," said DeSpain in his best Dr. Seuss voice. "Dani Garcia is a two-time All-Star and has a 17 win season under his belt." DeSpain explained. "He knows how to win and that is why we brought him here." Garcia was off to a rough start this season with the Mad Popes but in his first start for Montreal he gave up just one run in seven innings. Going to Sacramento is OF Wasim Ala, IF Heng-zang Guan, SP Matt McCarthy, all three top 100 BBA Prospects. "We didn't want to give any of them up." DeSpain admitted. "McCarthy could become Garcia in two seasons but that's not a given. The other two guys are teenagers and although they have high ceilings they just can't be counted on to ever develop that potential. Garcia is a right here, right now player. We know what we are getting."
