The Blazers have a bit of a log jam in RF. With 28 year old RF Ricardo 'Wizard' Juárez currently leading the AAA team with a stat line of .277/.294/.429. And then you have the aforementioned BBA Today player Edmund Webber who's been crushing it this season in AA ball .403/.551/.798 with a WAR of 2.7 and 13 HR with 34 RBI.
So what do the Blazers do? They call up none of the above and instead have called up 25 year old Juan Ramírez. Why you might ask? Because I still pay way too much attention to overalls then I do stats. LOL Ramírez has stat line of .286/.342/.514 with 7 doubles in 70 at bats in 22 games.
Edmund Webber
The Blazers did promote Webber to AAA New Jersey (where he's actually probably belonged all season). Webber has played 13 games in the BBA in 2040 batting .263/.348/.421/.769 across 19 at bats. How long can the Blazers realistically expect to keep Webber from the BBA? Guess only time will tell. If I was a betting man, I'd bet it was sooner rather then later.
So who is the long term option for the Blazers? MacKeith (50/50), Ramírez (45/45), Juárez (40/40) or Webber (45/45).
