Image Week 2 is now in the books. Montreal had another decent week. Montreal hosted a 3 game series vs Brooklyn before heading on the road for a two quick game set vs Calgary. And for the final game of the week, Montreal started a 4 game series vs San Antonio. Here's your game by game breakdown.

April 7th 2041 - Blazers Solve Robins, 5-2
Montreal Blazers starter Drees Geestman was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Brooklyn Robins, 5-2. Geestman went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-0. Joe Whitaker recorded the save for Montreal, his 4th of the season.

Jim Antolin aided the Montreal cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3 with a double and a walk.

"Drees was throwing free and easy," said Montreal manager Tomás Valdéz.

Montreal, now 5-1, has played well in the early going.

April 8th 2041 - Robins Drop Blazers with Late Score
With right fielder Gualtiero Crisci leading the charge, the Brooklyn Robins defeated the Montreal Blazers, 8-3, at Le Palais. Crisci went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Brooklyn reliever Ryosei Akiyama picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Arturo Trinidad was collared with the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Blazers, who are now 5-2.

Brooklyn used the clutch hitting of António Cordero to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Robins the lead, 6-3. For the game, Cordero had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Cordero.

April 9th 2041 - Montreal Loses, 5-4, Despite Aldo Performance
Montreal got a terrific performance from second baseman Lineu Aldo, but it wasn't enough to beat the Brooklyn Robins. Brooklyn won the Le Palais contest, 5-4. Aldo was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Brooklyn reliever Júlio Velasco picked up the win to move to 2-0. Conrado Chinita suffered the loss. Carlos Ramírez finished the game for Brooklyn and earned his 1st save.

Brooklyn used the timely hitting of Luis Lucero to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Robins on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Lucero said.

With the win, Brooklyn elevates its record to 4-4.

The Calgary Pioneers did just enough to sneak past the Montreal Blazers, 3-2, at The Stockyard. Calgary pitcher Cristóbal Hernández earned player of the game honors. The Pioneers, now 7-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.

In the bottom of the sixth, Calgary left fielder Juan Karyabwite had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Karyabwite stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 3-0, Calgary. For the game, he went 2-4 with 2 singles.

He gave up 2 earned runs on 6 hits. Losses have been few and far between for the Pioneers, who are now 7-3.

Lineu Aldo took Jefferson Pierce deep in the top of the third. His 2-run home run put the Blazers on top, 3-1. In all, Aldo had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Aldo told the Montreal News.

Slow your roll with the graphics, otherwise you might get recruited to do some serious artwork with Mike for the next Media Guide! ;)

LOL I really don't think I have to worry about that. While I'd have no problem helping anyway I can, I have zero skill at designing from scratch. While I'm comfortable at editing graphics in Photoshop (for example taking the website header and changing colors and adding logos or taking the TSN made matchups from twitter and editing to fit my purpose) all my graphics are originally found online.
