41.02 - Montreal introduces new GM
Kinda disappointed in this banner...not my greatest work.
In what could be a shock to some, the Montréal Blazers and GM Kevin Spencer have parted ways. Owner John Percolo wouldn't comment on the exact reason why, though he was willing to admit it happened rather quickly.
A unconfirmed twitter post from a guy who claims to be a inside source with the Blazers, said that Mr Spencer made some derogatory comments about not only Montreal's beloved Canadiens hockey team but about hockey in general. Supposedly it had something to do with the Montreal Canadiens NHL team getting their brand new Patrick Roy Centre arena, while the city and Blazers haven't been able to come to terms on a new ballpark.
The team did announce that they have already came to terms with their new GM, Jeffrey Everroad. Mr Everroad was last GM of the Istanbul Bosphorus of the UMEBA. He was their from 2039-2040 and during the time built a team that accumulated a pretty lackluster record of 128-196. So we decided to sit down with the new GM and get to know him a bit.
Beirness: Kate Beirness of TSN here, thanks for sitting down with me. So Mr Everroad your record in the UMEBA isn't that succesful, are you sure your ready for the big leagues of the BBA?
Everroad: Uh...guess there is only one way to find out? Right? In all fairness the Brewster universe is vastly different than everything else out there. So when I took over in Istanbul in the middle of 2039 it was a big learning curve.
Beirness: Have you had much time to get acquainted with the team yet?
Everroad: Not really, I was under the impression there was a fancy new stadium set to open in 2041 in Montreal, I guess that changed?
Beirness: Rumor has it land was purchased, blueprints drawn up it fell through at the last minute.
Everroad: Ouch that's a bummer. I was really looking forward to that free built in wifi to keep up to date on my fantasy team. Guess I'll have to check into that, maybe we can get it done before 2042.
Beirness: So in closing, got any big massive predictions for this year? Any guarantees? This team hasn't had a winning season since 2036, which is also the last time they reached the playoffs.
Everroad: We are going all the way from Championship to Disney World...nah I'm just kidding. My plan this year is to make improvements that not only benefit the team this season but long term. Hopefully the fans are patient. I know we all want to win now but one playoff run doesn't do much. Have to make sure we think long term.
Beirness: Well there you have it folks, first interview with new GM Jeffrey Everroad. Hopefully the fans can be patient. This has been Kate Beirness of TSN. Back to the studio.

love the format, and I lol'd at the reference to the Patrick Roy arena. If you are a hockey guy in addition to a baseball guy you can join a group of us here like that.

LOL I had the picture first and then just Googled tsn news anchor to find a female one. Haha
And Your right on Carey Price lol but a bigger fan of Roy. Even though not a Canadiens fan. Who are we kidding, it'll be named after a business. Lol
Yep hockey is my #1 sport. Season ticket holder for local ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones, fan of Blue Jackets (even though they suck lol).usnspecialist wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 11:25 amlove the format, and I lol'd at the reference to the Patrick Roy arena.
