The Montreal Blazers have just informed Eric LaFrance that he has been relieved of his duties as hitting coach for the Blazers. Lafrance was in his final year of his contract after spending the past 10 seasons with the Blazers. Bryan Riley from AAA has been named the interim hitting coach.
This move don't come as a surprise after Montreal has ranked near the bottom of every offensive category in the league. But what has surprised several people is many believed Manager Kayne Grandage would be fired instead. This move certantly makes the seat hotter for Grandage and his job appears in jeopardy going forward.

He didn’t stay unemployed long. I just fired my hitting coach and snagged LaFrance. Story coming soon.
